The Lovers
Limited Edition Hand-Embellished Prints
Six originals. One chance. May 5th.
The story behind The Lovers
The original Lovers artwork is a story of transformation — both personal and universal. Like bones that hold untold histories, this piece invites the viewer to see themselves within it, beyond appearances. It was created across a time of deep personal change; the person who began it is not the one who finished it. Yet, through transformation, something lasting remains: love.
Preserved flowers from weddings and farewells are embedded within the piece, charged with memories and emotion. Moss symbolizes how love survives loss, and gold-painted earth lines speak to our connection to the shifting world around us.
These prints honor the evolution of love, self, and memory — each hand-embellished to carry the spirit and story of the original.
Limited Edition Prints
We have two parts of ourselves; the dark and the light. And I think this kind of work brings that notion to the surface, to recognize that we are both. We are proof of life, and yet, also proof that one day we will not longer be here, yet we leave something behind; a part of ourselves, a mark, for someone else to reveal, or feel.
As I was working on the original Lovers, I noticed the resonance others felt to this piece. But really, the bond was between people. The most wholesome part about creating art is the connection it has with other people; feeling accepted, knowing that you are not alone. I decided to create prints because I want to share that affinity with others. They can not just be a photo copy of them, they have to also carry the visual and tactile experience of the original.
Each of the prints will be embellished with real dried moss and flowers, the bones will be built up with mineral casting compound and painted with gold pigment, and the earth-like swirls will shine with gold while framed between white contours.
While the original is a grand, immersive experience, these limited prints offer a more accessible way to bring that same spirit and story into your space. Each one carries a resonance — a thread of connection between past and present, between my hands and your heart.
Only six will be available, and only for one day.
After May 5th, this offering closes.
